Lately, we have been asked if we will scan magazines and sell the individual magazine on a CD. We will start providing this service for discontinued magazines where copyright laws will not come into play. For example, we will not scan Swank, Penthouse, Gallery or any other magazine that is still being published. However, if you want an old magazine like Duke, Live or Buxom, we will scan the magazine for you. This is very time consuming and thus very expensive. First we need to remove the staples of the magazine and cut it down the middle in order to make good clean scans, then we must scan each page individually. Some images may need to be fixed up in Photoshop. Each scan will be converted into three sizes of JPEG images; in large size (1200 pixels wide), then in medium size (300 pixels wide), then in thumbnail size (100 pixels wide). This will allow us to place them in a folder which will be searchable by thumbnail. You will then click on the thumbnail to get a large image. The CD will be like a magazine but in electronic format. We will make the table of contents clickable so that if you want to see an article on something you click it in the table of contents and it takes you directly to that page. The cost is $195 for the CD plus you must purchase the magazine (10% discount on the magazine because you are purchasing the CD). We will send you the magazine with the CD if you want, but remember that the magazine will be cut up so it won't have any collector value. CD purchases can only be made by phone at this time.
